Wrapping up 2015-16 School Year

WOW!!!

This year was a whirlwind. We had so many BIG events going on along with our re-accreditation cycle with ACSI and AdvancED like Significant Seniors day, Fall Auction, Glo-Run, PI-day, Annual Book Fair, testing week, hosting the ACSI Speech meet and Fall District Meeting and our Spirit Week, Principal for the Day, Disney Day and more!,

Our Extra-Curricular teams saw the return of our Girls Volleyball and Girls Basketball programs, along with ongoing programs with golf, archery, baseball, soccer for elementary, middle school and high school, dance tam, cross country, and basketball for elementary, middle and high school.  Our elementary academic team won the entire Regional tournament as a quick recall team and overall.

Fine Arts blossomed with the production of A Charlie Brown Christmas in December, Christmas programs by preschool and elementary students, singers and Praise band performing at the Christmas festivities downtown, the spring musical, "The Wizard of Oz", our Chorus competing at Holiday World Spring contest, and our annual Art Show.

Students excelled academically in the Duke TIP program with all four of our seventh graders that tested with the ACT receiving state recognition and students scoring above the state average for 12th graders, even though they are in 7th grade!!  Our ten Seniors received over $300,000 in scholarship money for pursuing their post- secondary education. Students competed well in the WKU History contest, ACSI Spelling Bee, Creative Writing contest and Speech meet.

Our middle school/high school programs added elective offerings like Public Speaking, Lego Robotics, and American Sign Language. AP Spanish is also now available for our high school students. Xtreme Week offerings this year included: Washington DC, Car Maintenance, Agricultural Careers, KY Foodie, Local Missions, KY History Alive, ThinkGreek, Art and Drama, Disney Week and Lego Robotics. It was another successful Xtreme Week!!

We are thankful for all the many ways God has blessed us this year. We had so many people that have volunteered their time, finances and prayers for our ministry. Our theme this year has been Galatians 5:22-23- "But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."  We pray our students have walked away from this year with the desire to allow Christ to be glorified through them and to want to show their fruit!!
